My work begins with immersion.
I am drawn to moments when strong sunlight cuts through shadow when light and darkness meet and a scene forms quietly in between.

Such moments are rarely announced. So I tend to wait rather than rush. I set a frame and wait for the final element to enter
a slight shift of light, a passing figure, or the moment when the scene settles on its own. This is why I return to the same places.
Sunlight may seem familiar, but it never arrives in the same way.

These photographs are shaped less by intention and more by instinct.

This site is not a conclusion, but a place where what remains after looking is allowed to stay.

제 사진 작업은 몰입감에서 출발합니다. 저는 맑은 날, 강한 햇빛이 그림자를 가르며 스며드는 순간에 이끌리는 면이 있습니다.
분명한 빛과 짙은 그림자가 맞닿으며 장면이 조용히 형성되는 때에 말이죠.

그런 순간들은 대부분 미리 예고되지 않습니다 그래서 저는 서두르기보다는 기다리는 편입니다.
구도를 먼저 세워두고, 그 안에 장면을 완성할 마지막 요소가 들어오기를 기다리죠.
빛이 조금 더 기울거나, 누군가 스쳐 지나가거나, 장면이 스스로 정돈되는 순간을 위해서요.

같은 장소를 반복해서 찾는 이유도 여기에 있습니다. 태양빛은 늘 비슷해 보이지만,
결코 같은 모습으로 머무르지 않기 때문이에요.

이 사진들은 명확한 의도보다는 직감에 더 가깝게 만들어집니다.

이곳은 하나의 결론이 아니라, 바라본 뒤에 남은 것들이 잠시 머무는 장소입니다.
